01 · Agreement

What these terms cover

They set the working rules for wedding planning services supplied by Jenkins Weddings. Acceptance happens when you sign the proposal or pay the first instalment.

Keep your proposal close.

02 · Fees

Services, payment and expenses

Your service terms are set out before work begins. We will identify the planning package, payment dates and any expected third-party costs in the proposal.

Payment stages are agreed in writing.

Invoices must be paid by their stated due date so supplier bookings and planning work can continue.

  • The booking payment secures our agreed availability.
  • Later instalments follow the schedule in your proposal.
  • Approved travel, accommodation and event expenses are charged separately.

Budget decisions

We help you track the wedding budget, but you remain responsible for approving spend and paying suppliers on time.

Written approval

Changes to scope, guest numbers or event timing need written confirmation before we commit resources or costs.

Late invoices

We may pause planning activity after notice of an overdue invoice. Extra administration caused by delay may be chargeable.

03 · Changes

Cancellation and limitations

Weddings involve reserved dates and commitments made months ahead. Cancellation charges reflect work completed and costs we cannot recover.

ACancellation by you

Tell us in writing as soon as a decision is made. The applicable refund or cancellation charge will follow the scale in your proposal, subject to work already completed and non-refundable costs.

BCancellation by us

We may end the agreement for serious breach, persistent non-payment or circumstances that make performance impossible. We will give reasonable notice where circumstances allow.

CEvents outside control

Extreme weather, venue closure, travel restrictions, public emergencies and supplier failure may affect delivery. We will discuss practical alternatives, but cannot guarantee the original arrangements.

DOur responsibility

We take reasonable care in providing the services. Subject to applicable law, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected service. Your own wedding insurance remains essential.

Supplier losses are separate.

Cancellation terms set by venues, caterers, florists and other suppliers may apply in addition to our charges. Check each supplier contract before paying a deposit.

04 · Suppliers and materials

Supplier contracts and intellectual property

Good supplier records protect the day. We coordinate introductions, quotations, schedules and practical updates within the scope of your chosen service.

Supplier contract management

Supplier agreements are between you and the supplier. We may act as your planning agent when you authorise us to communicate or organise on your behalf, but we do not become responsible for a supplier's performance, pricing or cancellation policy.

  • Review terms before signing.
  • Pay supplier invoices directly unless agreed otherwise.
  • Raise supplier concerns promptly so we can help address them.

Plans, designs and content

Timelines, floor plans, written schedules, styling concepts and mood boards created by Jenkins Weddings remain our intellectual property until all amounts due have been paid. After payment, you may use them for your wedding and personal records.

  • Materials cannot be resold or reused commercially.
  • We may retain working copies for legal and administrative records.
  • Images are used only with appropriate permission.
